This tragedy left music teachers and musicians without a way to earn a living or continue to build their musical career in addition to demolishing their homes and personal belongings. CFMC, along with our musician friends around the world, join together to donate their time, talents, and resources to provide relief to our fellow musicians in Japan.

Susan Ogilvy and Andrew Eales have donated piano compositions to this cause to earn the funds needed to provide musical instruments to those who have lost the ability to make and teach music after this devastating tragedy. Each composition is carefully crafted to bring hope and inspiration to all who take the opportunity to help musicians in need. Everyone can help by purchasing these music downloads and can also donate to this Tsunami/earthquake relief fund. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to musicians in Japan.

CFMC is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in the USA.

Mikayla Foote, age 16, currently lives in Superior, Colorado, and attends high school in the local area. She has been taking voice lessons for almost a year with Dana V. Music at the Art Underground in Louisville, but has had a lifelong passion for music, singing, and all aspects of the arts her entire life. She has participated in choir, and a children’s repertory theater group throughout middle school, and has continued her musical theater career in high school. Along with school sponsored events, Mikayla also competed in the 2011 NATS competition in musical theater and received Honorable Mention for the Colorado/Wyoming competition. When she grows up, Mikayla wishes to work in the music industry, to further her love for the art. Lastly, she would like to thank the Colorado Federation of Music Clubs for presenting her with the Top Performer award, and Jodie J. Jensen for establishing the Lynette M. Card Scholarship Fund which recognizes young performers and the need to support the art of musical theater.

“Thank you so much for the scholarship and recognition. I appreciate your generosity and your support of young artists. I look forward to seeing you at future CFMC events! Thank you again!” Mikayla Foote

Kyle has been playing piano since age four. For the previous six years, he has been under the direction of Robert Hartley. During this time period, he has excelled at the regional, state, and national levels. In 2011, he received top preformed at the Colorado Federation of Music Clubs state festival, and took third place at the national Marilyn Caldwell piano solo competition.
Aliza AuYeung’s studio wanted to show their appreciation for CFMC and the state competitive festival, so Aliza encouraged her students to donate money out of their own pockets to the new CFMC Scholarship Fund. Not only did her students give to the fund, she matched each student’s contribution.

A big thank you to Aliza AuYeung and her students… We appreciate your donation!
